Cookie Policy
Effective May 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Openoffice Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Bluclock ("Bluclock", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on the Bluclock website and platform (the "Services"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, pixel tags, and software development kits (SDKs) embedded in our mobile experiences. Throughout this Policy, "cookies" refers to all of these.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
A. Strictly Necessary (always on)
Required to deliver the Services you request. You cannot disable these via our Services because the platform will not function without them.
- Authentication & session. Supabase auth tokens stored in
localStorageso you stay signed in across page loads. Retention: until you sign out or the refresh token expires (default 30 days, rotated on each use). - Security & fraud prevention. CSRF tokens, rate-limit identifiers, bot challenges. Retention: session or up to 24 hours.
- Load balancing & preferences. Routing cookies set by our hosting provider (Cloudflare/Vercel-class edge) and UI preferences such as theme, sidebar state, and last-selected dashboard. Retention: session to 1 year.
B. Functional
Enable richer features such as remembering saved booking addresses, geofence check-in state, recently-viewed jobs, and form drafts. Retention: typically up to 1 year. Disabling these may require you to re-enter information on each visit.
C. Analytics (first-party only)
We use a small amount of first-party analytics to understand usage, debug errors, and prioritize fixes. We collect aggregated metrics such as page views, navigation paths, device class, browser, approximate (city-level) geographic region, and performance timings. Where used, identifiers are first-party and IP addresses are truncated before storage. Retention: up to 14 months in aggregated form. We do not sell analytics data and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
D. Advertising / Marketing Cookies
Bluclock does not currently set advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party marketing trackers (no Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, TikTok pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.) on the Services. If we ever add advertising cookies, we will update this Policy, surface a cookie banner with granular consent controls (opt-in where required by law), and refresh the categories above before any such cookie is set.
E. Embedded Third-Party Services
When you take certain actions, we hand off to trusted third parties that may set their own cookies under their own privacy notices. Today these include:
- Stripe (payments & payouts) — fraud-prevention and session cookies during checkout. See Stripe's cookie notice.
- Supabase (database, auth, storage) — necessary auth and security cookies as described in §2.A.
- Identity-verification / background-check provider — only loaded during agent onboarding flows; their cookies are governed by their own notices.
- Mapping & geocoding provider — loaded when you view a map or pin a job location; may set anti-abuse cookies.
3. How Long Cookies Last
- Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Typical lifetimes on our Services range from 24 hours (security tokens) to 30 days (auth refresh) to 12 months (preferences and analytics aggregates).
4. Your Choices and How to Opt Out
You have several ways to control cookies and tracking technologies:
- In-app controls. When a non-essential cookie category is in use (e.g., if we add advertising in the future), you will see a cookie banner allowing you to accept or reject each category. You can revisit those choices from your account settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor the GPC signal as an opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" / cross-context behavioral advertising under U.S. state privacy laws (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others as they take effect).
- Do Not Track. Browsers differ in how they implement DNT. Because there is no industry standard, we treat DNT consistently with GPC where the browser sends a clear opt-out preference.
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear
localStorage:- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
- Mobile device controls. iOS and Android both expose "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Reset Advertising ID" controls and let you clear app storage in Settings.
- Industry opt-outs. Even though we do not currently use advertising cookies, you can opt out of many third-party ad networks via optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and networkadvertising.org/choices (NAI).
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in, placing a booking, accepting an assignment, checking in to a job, or receiving payouts.
5. Mobile App SDKs
Where we offer a mobile experience, similar identifiers may be stored via the OS keychain, app-scoped storage, or push-notification tokens (APNs / FCM). These are treated as Strictly Necessary or Functional based on the same categories above and follow the same retention rules.
6. Children
The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly set cookies for the purpose of profiling minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our Services and the cookies we use evolve. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Effective" date and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-app message before they take effect.
